Sanchita's Journey
Sanchita Shenoy is a Kathak and Bharatanrityam dancer who started her journey at the age of 6. She has been training for over 15 years under Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardees Gurus Smt Nirupama Rajendra and Sri T D Rajendra, of Abhinava Dance Company and is a valued member of the dance troupe.
Beyond classical dance, Sanchita has embraced Contemporary dance at the Attakalari Institute for Movement Arts, Hip-Hop and Bollywood at the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy and Garba at Thangaat Garba.

Sanchita's performances span prestigious platforms such as the Madras Music Academy, NCPA , International Bangalore Film Festival, Mood Indigo and NMACC. Internationally, she has performed across 12 cities in the USA and Canada as a part of Abhinava Dance Company. As a soloist, she has performed for Nadha Foundation, Rotaract Club, Kannada Balaga (London), the 11th Girnar Mahotsav (Gujarat) where she was awarded the Girnar Ratna Puraskar, Neemrana Fort Palace, Rajasthan and the Medai Youth Dance Festival in Coimbatore.

TEACHING & CHOREOGRAPHY
Taking dance as both her passion and life-long practice,
Sanchita is currently teaching Kathak at Abhinava Dance Company, where she trains over 30 students in the art form. Alongside Kathak training, she also works with Bollywood and choreography-based movement sessions for children, teens and adults. Her choreographic works for school competitions and stage presentations have consistently received accolades and recognition.
As a teacher, her approach focuses on creating structured yet
expressive learning spaces that encourage rhythm, storytelling,
musicality and confidence through movement.
