If the divine is a state of being, then dance is a medium to the state of divinity, the divinity within oneself.

Sanchita's Journey​​

Sanchita Shenoy is an accomplished dancer with a passion for Bharatanatyam and Kathak. She honed her skills from the age of 6 in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Smt Indu BS, achieving exceptional scores in her Junior and Senior Examinations. Driven by her love for dance, Sanchita also embarked on the path of Kathak in 2013. She received training from the renowned Kathak duo Guru Smt Nirupama Rajendra and Sri T D Rajendra, the Artistic Directors of Abhinava Dance Company and is now a valued member of the senior dance troupe. Continuing her artistic journey, Sanchita is currently pursuing Bharatanrityam under the mentorship of Guru Smt Nirupama Rajendra.

Beyond her expertise in Bharatanatyam and Kathak, Sanchita has embraced Contemporary dance at the Attakalari Institute for Movement Arts, Hip-Hop and Bollywood at the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy and Folk Dances of South India under Sneha Kappana. She has undertaken several workshops conducted by dancers all over India, including Team Naach, Harsh Kumar, Akanksha Sharma, Dharmik Samani, and Thangaat Garba, and has earned their appreciation. Sanchita's talent has been acknowledged through her victories in numerous dance competitions, including Mood Indigo. She has also showcased her leadership abilities as the head of the performative arts club at Christ University, where she has organized and coordinated various artistic endeavours.

PERFORMANCES

Sanchita has had the opportunity to perform at renowned venues and events across India, including the Bangalore International Film Festival, Avadootha Datta Peetham, Sangeet Natak Academy, G20 Summits, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Madras Music Academy, Kathak Mahostav etc. Internationally, she has performed for Kannada Balaga, London, UK and Kannada Koota, Atlanta, USA. She is also featured in the Sanskrit Play Bhagavaddajukkam, produced by Dr. Sudha Murthy.
